EXPECT THE HARD TIMES

Today Jon rang me to tell me that while getting ready for exams this week, he has developed a dreadful toothache and would have to come home to pay the dentist a visit. This evening things aren't much better, even though the tooth has been dressed he has severe pain caused by an abscess. The last time this happened he was preparing for a mission trip to Mexico and this time it's Ecuador.
Whenever we decide to do something for God, we can expect obstacles to occur and fiery darts to come from all angles. We must stand firm and hold onto the words-

"The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble ". Psalm.46.v.1.

Let us remember always, that it is such a blessing and privilege "to carry everything to God in prayer".
